EDUCATION PROGRAMS
Part of the Alpharetta Symphony’s mission is to bring engaging educational experiences to our community in Alpharetta and across North Fulton. To that end, we offer educational events for school-age children, recently including outdoor drum circles, instrument petting zoos, and sensory-friendly concerts paired with interactive workshops in music, dance, theater, and art. We also offer performance opportunities through the Alpharetta Symphony Youth Orchestra.
THE ALPHARETTA SYMPHONY YOUTH ORCHESTRA
The Alpharetta Symphony Youth Orchestra (ASYO) was founded in 2018 and performs four concerts each season. Led by Youth Orchestra Conductor Kim Stocksdale, students ages 12-18 study and perform music from across centuries and continents. The ASYO is open by audition to middle high school students and offers a fun performance experience for students in the North Fulton area. Through the ASYO, there are opportunities to perform chamber music throughout the year, including holiday performances in local senior centers with members of the Alpharetta Symphony.
