Beethoven’s spirited 7th symphony sits center stage (say that five times fast) for this musical survey of some of classical music’s greatest hits. We’ll start the show with Mozart’s Overture to one of the most popular operas of all time, Don Giovanni. Alpharetta Symphony principal cellist Jeremy Woolstenhulme will showcase virtuosity and style with Haydn’s first cello concerto. Closing the concert is Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, which Richard Wagner claimed brought dancing, lively rhythms to the realm of the divine.
