Beethoven represented the Alpharetta Symphony Orchestra at the 2017 Alpharetta Scarecrow Harvest.
The Alpharetta Symphony Orchestra participated in the 2017 Scarecrow Harvest Festival located in downtown Alpharetta. The orchestra's "De Composer" (Beethoven) was busy composing his Fifth Symphony while working out a few transitions on his violin. He was very happy to support the AlphaSO in exchange for his next piece's debut by displaying their upcoming concert events at the corner of Milton Ave. and Canton St., on a sign crawling with spiders and cobwebs.
"Dr. Eric Hawk of the Alpharetta Symphony Orchestra came up with the 'De Composer' idea. Making the scarecrow come to life was so much fun for the orchestra members! It was great to participate in this annual fall event in our community," said Kim Stefanick, marketing director and flutist for the AlphaSO.
The orchestra plans to participate each year, and Beethoven may reappear with a different guise. Be sure to look for him next fall when you are strolling the streets of Alpharetta!
